An area made up of 8.4 miles and prior to development in 1969, it was a ranch owned by Betty and Glen Corning. The community offers activities for all ages, including the marina, parks, playgrounds, miles of hiking trails, Olympic size pool and community center. There is also a library in the Adult Center. The area offers a place in the country and yet is not far away from the action in Bellingham. Sudden Valley has one of the finest golf courses in the area.
