Happy Valley is an area close to Western University, Fairhaven and I5. There are many single residences and prior to 2000 several apartment buildings were built to house University students. Happy Valley Elementary (Rebuild completed on August 2016) and Sehome High School (Rebuild to be completed August 2019) are located in this district.
There are many areas designated for walking and enjoying the wildlife. Padden Creek runs through this area and Connelly Creek, along with Happy Valley Park, a small park with a playground, picnic shelter and open field.
Happy Valley also supports various Senior Housing, mostly along Fairhaven Parkway. A nice location close to Fairhaven with many trails to walk and enjoy the environment.
